Responsibilities:Assist new employeesContinue work hardening and all other training necessary to prepare the trainee for positionsAssist supervisor in following and documenting a training programLearn to operate all machines and scales in the departmentProvide new employees with exemplary work behavior including attendance, safety, and personal hygieneAdminister directions for the proper care and use of PPE'SCommunicate to the supervisor as to the progress of the employeesPerform any additional tasks or responsibilities as requiredHelp with coverage in the absence of the supervisorAssist supervisor in daily operations, floor coverage, running through breaks, and running equipment as needed***Ability to work with pork productsMinimum Qualifications:Good organizational skillsAbility to learn and do all jobs in the departmentGood verbal and written communication skills/Ability to speak and write EnglishComplete knowledge of machine safety procedures and operationsGood work historyAbility to work with minimum supervisionAbility to obtain forklift, rider jack, PV3R, and hand jack licenseBasic math skillsNo performance work actions in the last 6 monthsNo attendance work actions in the last 6 monthsPHYSICAL: No restrictions lifting 50 poundsNo restrictions pushing 500 pound v-magsPreferred Qualifications:Experience on a department safety committeeSix months experience in the department or equivalent trainingBasic computer skillsExcellent problem solving skills and public speaking abilityExcellent pay and benefit package including health, dental, vision, life & disability insurance, vacation, holidays, flexible spending accounts, retirement savings plan with 401K match, continuing education, and much more.Jennie-O Turkey Store is an equal opportunity employer.
