Seeking Volunteer Grant Writer for Arts-Equity Based Nonprofit

DutiesAssist in researching potential funding sources, including government agencies, foundations, and corporate sponsors using databases and research tools Support the preparation and writing of compelling grant proposals, including technical writing and narrative development Help compile and organize necessary documentation such as budgets, financial reports, and program descriptions for grant applications Contribute to maintaining accurate records of grant activities within grant management systems like Raiser's Edge or similar databases Proofread and edit proposal drafts to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to funder guidelines Collaborate with program staff to develop strategic plans and budgets that align with grant requirements Track deadlines, prepare submission packages, and assist with follow-up reports to ensure compliance with funder expectations RequirementsStrong writing skills with experience in proposal writing, technical writing, or editing Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other grant databases is helpful Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required Excellent research skills to identify new funding opportunities and gather relevant information Ability to proofread documents meticulously and produce clear financial report writing Basic understanding of program development, strategic planning, and budgeting within nonprofit settings Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively Prior experience or coursework related to arts & music nonprofits is desirable but not required Join us as a Grant Writing Volunteer and help turn creative visions into reality!Please email: team@heartstringscollectiveincorp.org with your resume and a brief cover letter to apply!
