Beyond the catalog, we have considerable custom spring capabilities, personnel and a proficiency that comes with our many years within the industry.ResponsibilitiesSet up, start up and run primary machines and/or secondary machines using specialized equipment to ensure springs conform to specificationAbility to make a selection and/or preparation of machine tooling for job ordersAbility to manufacture a job order from start to finish in quality spring making, coiling and wire formingPreparation of acceptable first piece samples, in-process inspection using calipers, gage blocks, height gages, etc. per specified print dimensions.Understanding of tooling attachments, and other critical components used in manufacturing processesAbility to perform grinding, heat treating / stress relief, and passivation when necessaryAbility to assist and recommend solutions to production issues with plant teamMachining and CNC general knowledge, experience with mills and lathes a plusTeardown machines including routine cleanup and maintenanceGeneral factory assistance including but not limited to operation of other machines, inspection, maintenance, sampling and toolingOther assigned dutiesQualificationsEducation and/or work experience requirements:Bennett Mechanical Aptitude Test with a score of 50+ or relevant work experienceStandard Measuring Instruments TestHigh School Diploma or EquivalentAbility to read part specifications, blueprints, equipment manuals, production reports and schedules.3-5 years of experience preferredRequired to stand, walk, and use hands consistently. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, and crouch.Ability to lift or carry minimum 40 lbs.Required I-9 documents for authorization to work in the United States
