SUMMARYThe Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for owning and executing full-cycle recruitment across a variety of roles, from initial intake through offer and onboarding handoff. This role ensures alignment with business needs, compensation structures, and organizational priorities while delivering a high-quality hiring experience and maintaining high standards of candidate and stakeholder experience.The Talent Acquisition Specialist partners closely with Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners to drive candidate quality, maintain process integrity, and ensure consistent, efficient recruitment execution across the organization. This is a full-time, fully onsite role based in Virginia Beach, VA. Relocation assistance is not currently offered for this position.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupervisory Responsibilities – NoneDuties:Full-Cycle Recruitment & ExecutionManage full-cycle recruitment across assigned roles, including intake, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer development, and onboarding handoffLead intake discussions with hiring managers to define role scope, expectations, and candidate profilesDrive clarity on role requirements and hiring expectations to ensure alignment and reduce downstream disruptionDevelop and execute sourcing strategies using job boards, networking, referrals, and direct sourcing techniquesVet candidates early for role alignment, including experience, expectations, and compensation, prior to hiring manager engagementEvaluate candidate qualifications, experience, and overall fit beyond resume alignmentDrive recruitment process momentum, ensuring timely movement of candidates, feedback collection, and decision-makingHiring Manager & HRBP PartnershipServe as the primary point of contact for hiring managers throughout the recruitment processPartner closely with HR Business Partners to ensure roles are aligned to approved compensation structures prior to recruitmentProvide guidance on market conditions, candidate availability, and realistic hiring expectationsMaintain consistent communication and accountability with stakeholders throughout the hiring processProactively identify and escalate risks related to compensation, candidate alignment, or role scope changesSupport offer development within approved compensation parameters and structured approval processesCandidate Experience & Talent EngagementConduct structured screening conversations to assess candidate qualifications, experience, and alignmentEnsure candidates are informed, engaged, and aligned throughout the recruitment processDeliver a high-quality candidate experience through timely communication and professionalismBuild and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needsSupport employer branding initiatives and represent the organization at career fairs, networking events, and recruiting activities as neededRecruitment Operations & ComplianceMaintain accurate and timely documentation within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), including maintaining complete candidate records and activity trackingEnsure all candidate activity, notes, and status updates are consistently recordedManage requisition lifecycle, including posting, updates, status changes, and closeoutEnsure alignment between system data and internal reporting toolsSupport compliance with internal processes, audit requirements, and employment regulationsLeverage recruitment data and market insights to inform hiring decisions and improve recruitment effectivenessOperate with consistency across entities, following standardized recruitment processes and best practicesAdditional ResponsibilitiesThis role may support additional talent acquisition initiatives, process improvements, and cross-functional projects as needed to support evolving business needs.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
