Training Leader

SUMMARY Assist the training supervisor in all levels and aspects of training new associates, mentoring and cross-training current associates ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Includes the following along with other duties that may also be assigned: Conduct New Hire Orientations as required Executes and follows up on plan given by Leader IIs and Supervisors Verify TWI (update or correct or create, as needed) Ensure training plans are executed as defined/Train, mentor and guide new hires, transfers and cross train current associates. Create contingency plan/coaching as required (associates with quality or attainment issues) Assist with 1000-piece inspection as applicable Perform skill enhancement/defect recognition via training center as needed Greet new hire, verify PPE assist in delivering to new department and introduce to leader and trainer Perform daily follow up with all associates in 90 days then turn in to supervisor Enter completed training into matrix Meet with each leader for training needs, concerns, and cross training for existing associates and use training request forms as needed Utilize training matrix to identify training gaps and opportunities Review training needs/concerns with supervisor Prepare 7 and 10 week reviews with the coordinator and leader Training leader then delivers each review directly to the associate Review and ensure compliance for all new hire journals for shift Follow up with any new hire journal concerns with associate and trainer Perform TWI/SWI training as needed Fill in for production as needed Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing to comply with all safety laws and all of our safety policies and rules Maintain six (6) or less attendance points continuously. Subject to demotion if attendance points exceed six (6) points at any time. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Can provide department direction but this job has no supervisory responsibilities. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or G.E.D. or comparable from country of origin. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The associate frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities may require color vision depending on job assignment. For quality reasons, this position requires a sighted individual.
