Maintenance Apprentices will complete a combination of computerized training, on the job training, and instructor lead training in core topics. Maintenance Apprentices will be required to demonstrate competency in several areas to qualify as a skilled Maintenance Mechanic. Based on the needs of the business, and the merit of the Apprentice, further training as an Electro-mechanical technician or Controls Specialist may be executed.Essential Job Functions & ResponsibilitiesPreventative Maintenance and Production Support:Assist qualified production mechanics with troubleshooting and repairs.Perform Preventative Maintenance tasks as skills and training allow.Rebuild and repair mechanical assemblies offline for re-installation into production equipment.Document all work in CMMS system.Execute self-led computerized training curriculum, showing regular progress until complete.Assist in high-profile equipment rebuilds, and project work for enhanced learning.Training Topics (list Is Not Comprehensive)Equipment and System Troubleshooting and repairPreventative MaintenanceMachine Shop Equipment and Metal FabricationPlumbingPneumatic SystemsHydraulic SystemsWeldingBasic Electrical SystemsRiggingExperienceQualifications & Requirements:Skills & KnowledgeDemonstrated commitment to teamwork, with strong interpersonal skillsMindset for growth and learningStrong and effective written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrates capacity and willingness to learn and perform new duties, trade skills and more complex assignmentsProficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
