Shop Apprentice

Air-Vac Systems, LLC is a subsidiary of Becker Pumps Corporation, leading global manufacturer at the forefront of vacuum pump innovation, delivering reliable, high-performance vacuum pumps, compressors, and regenerative blowers. Air-Vac Systems is seeking a dependable Shop Apprentice to support daily operations in our El Cajon repair and rebuild shop. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who is organized, comfortable using tools, and eager to learn. *Schedule* * Part-time, approximately 20–25 hours per week *Responsibilities* * Clean, prepare, and organize incoming equipment * Assist technicians with basic repairs and equipment teardown * Keep the shop clean, organized, and stocked * Support shipping, receiving, and general warehouse tasks * Operate a forklift to move equipment and pallets (training provided) * Deliver parts and equipment to customers and vendors within the local Southern California area; local driving is a regular and essential function of this role * Help maintain parts and equipment inventory *Requirements* * Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn * Reliable, with a steady work ethic * Comfortable working in a shop or warehouse environment * Able to follow directions and work with minimal oversight * Able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation *Driving Requirement* This role includes regular local delivery of parts and equipment, so a valid California driver's license and insurable driving record are required.
