Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Installer Technician
Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician to join our team. This full-time position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, construction experience, and the ability to interpret schematics and HVAC design plans. A valid driver’s license is required for travel between job sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with service technician experience and a background in plumbing, refrigeration, or appliance repair to advance their careers in the HVAC industry.
Duties
Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment according to manufacturer specifications and blueprints
Perform system upgrades, repairs, and maintenance on existing HVAC units
Read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical manuals to ensure proper installation and service
Conduct troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment
Assist with ductwork fabrication and welding as needed for system installation
Perform plumbing connections related to HVAC systems including refrigerant lines and water supply lines
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
Test systems for proper operation and efficiency after installation or repair
Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used during service calls
Requirements
Proven experience in construction, HVAC/R service technician roles, or property maintenance
Knowledge of mechanical systems including air conditioning, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and appliances
Ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately
Skilled in equipment repair, welding, plumbing, and electrical troubleshooting
Familiarity with field service operations and property maintenance procedures
Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, and equipment repair techniques
Experience with the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting electrical issues
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments including residential and commercial sites
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in installation and repair tasks
