Manufacturing Engineering TechnicianThe Manufacturing Engineering Technician is the primary Engineering support for Printed Circuit Board Assembly processes. They monitor the process and take corrective actions to ensure the process is clearly documented and meets performance expectations. They prepare the process for new and revised products.How you'll contribute:Responds to and resolves line stoppages, machine slowdowns, non-conforming material issues, and material handling/warehousing issues. Escalates to the responsible Manufacturing Engineer when necessaryCalculates and/or monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Production work cells and resolves issues to maintain current performancePrepares production & engineering documentation, ERP data, fixtures, and tooling for implementing new and revised productsSupports the Manufacturing Engineer with pilot builds to produce first articlesLeads hands-on training of production staff on new or revised processes, products, tooling, and equipmentCompletes tasks to support Manufacturing Engineering projectsYou'll also support with:Representing area of responsibility at Daily Management System (DMS) meetings and reporting out on actions toward resolution of obstaclesSustaining current 6S practices and implementing additional solutions for the work cellPerforming process audits to evaluate process conformanceOther duties as assigned by your supervisorA successful candidate will have:Minimum associate's degree in related field or equivalent experienceMinimum 2 years' work experience in a manufacturing environmentCompetent in Microsoft Office applications, and proficient in ExcelCapable of following written or verbal instructions in EnglishOrganized and analytical thinker with excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with various department personnelAbility to identify and distinguish colorsAbility to work B Shift (3:15PM - 1:45AM, Monday - Thursday)May be required to alternate schedules to meet production goalsMust be available to work overtime and weekends when neededWork Environment:Some travel (less than 5%) may be required for training and personal developmentPerforms duties within established policy guidelines; responsible for a defined set of assignments, decisions, and actionsAbility to lift up to 50 lbsSit or stand for long periodsWork in an environment that generates OSHA permissible machine noise levelsWear Personal Protective EquipmentWhat we offer:Medical, Dental, and Vision3 weeks annual PTO and 9 paid holidays401(k) + matchingEmployer-paid base life insurance, short, and long-term disabilityHealth savings accounts (with Biamp contribution) and flexible spending accountsTuition reimbursementCharitable donation matchingDiscretionary profit-sharingReferral bonusesAbout Biamp:We make the world's most extraordinary audio and video solutions.
