Maintenance Manager

Broussard, Louisiana: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee daily maintenance and shop operations, supervise technicians, and ensure all equipment, facilities, and mechanical systems are maintained safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong technical background in knowledge of all or any of the following: diesel engines, gasoline engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, air systems, & pump systems, along with proven leadership experience managing maintenance teams, coordinating schedules, maintaining compliance records, and supporting operational goals.Essential DutiesSupervise daily operations of maintenance technicians, mechanics, and shop personnelAssign work orders and coordinate daily maintenance schedules to meet operational needsMonitor technician productivity and ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance activitiesProvide coaching, mentorship, and technical guidance to maintenance personnelSupport workforce planning, scheduling, and resource allocationOversee maintenance and repair of diesel-powered equipment, hydraulic systems, and industrial or mechanical equipmentManage preventative maintenance (PM) programs to minimize equipment downtimeEnsure proper troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair techniques are utilizedConduct quality inspections of completed maintenance and repair workSupport fabrication, modification, and installation of new equipment as neededReview equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiencyGenerate reports on maintenance performance, downtime, and key operational metricsCreate job scopes and coordinate major repair or refurbishment projectsMaintain accurate documentation related to maintenance operations and equipment performanceRequirements / SkillsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum of 10+ years of maintenance or mechanical experienceMinimum of 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experienceProven experience supervising technicians and shop personnelStrong mechanical background in diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and industrial or mechanical equipmentExperience maintaining fleet vehicles, pumps, compressors, and related mechanical systems preferredAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematicsStrong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsExperience managing compliance inspections and maintenance recordsExperience in industrial, manufacturing, marine, crane, oilfield, or fleet maintenance environments preferredPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periodsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as neededAbility to work in shop and industrial environments with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperaturesAbility to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)Ability to perform inspections and access equipment in confined or elevated areas as requiredEqual Opportunity StatementFlexicrew Technical Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with FTS is governed on the basis of merit, competence, and qualifications.
