As we continue to build a high-performing immersion school grounded in Hellenic paideia, we seek leaders who are committed to advancing both academic excellence and bilingual proficiency in Greek and English.The AP is an instructional leader who supports teachers and instructional leaders in delivering a rigorous, standards-aligned, and joyful academic experience in both languages. This includes the ability to support curriculum, instruction, and assessment in Greek and in English, ensuring coherence across content areas and language pathways. The AP works closely with the Immersion Principal, VP of Hellenic Education, VP of US Academics, and fellow School Leaders to analyze student performance, monitor assessment tools in Greek and English, strengthen bilingual instructional practices in both languages, and lead high-quality professional development that advances both language acquisition and content mastery.The AP must demonstrate deep content knowledge in both languages, a strong understanding of immersion pedagogy and second-language acquisition, and the capacity to build meaningful relationships with students, families, and staff. The role requires an unwavering commitment to high expectations, cultural relevance, and the integration of Greek language and culture across the curriculum.Minimum Qualifications:Strong commitment to the mission and vision of Odyssey Charter School.Bachelor's degree in education, and an active DE License and Certification.Bilingual and fluent in the Greek language (ACTFL).Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Docs and the willingness and ability to learn programs required of the position.Demonstrated Leadership Skills in garnering support, motivating others to meet and surpass department and district-wide objectives, handling conflict using restorative practice techniques through a DE&I lens.Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Greek to deal effectively with students, staff, all Stakeholders and international partners.Proven ability to hold others accountable.Knowledgeable about formative and diagnostic assessments and research based instructional practices for both languagesEquity driven, demonstrated sensitivity to issues impacting various cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups.Superior grasp of effective instructional and behavioral methods and strategies for educating urban youth including but not limited to right brained restorative practices (trauma informed practices), culturally responsive teaching, Social Emotional Learning, grading for equity and coaching for equity.Preferred Qualifications:Leadership Certification preferred.Master's degree or higher preferred.Previous experience as an Instructional Coach, Dean, Student Advisor or similar leader role in a K-12 environment.Exceptional ability to analyze data.Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Data Driven Instruction:Conduct deep analysis of data in order to lead effective analysis meetings based on daily student work samples in both languages and reinforce DE immersion programs assurancesBuild grade level/content area action plans and materials in both languages to address data.Monitor grade-level progress against assessment cycle benchmarks.Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Feedback and Teacher Development:Conduct daily observations, integrate feedback in Greek and English into planning meetings that lead to teacher and instructional leader development, and support implementation of action steps.Provide real-time feedback in Greek and English to teachers during instruction and contribute to teachers' mid-year reviews.Plan and deliver in both languages high-quality professional development that exceeds standardsPlan and execute team meetings in both languages for grade-level or content-area staff.Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Curriculum and Assessment:Own organization-wide curriculum and assessment work based on content expertise such as lesson planning, assessment revisions, interventions in Greek and English, collaborative scoring, and/or network analysis (Grades K-5).Facilitate assessment cycles including scheduling, quality assurance of assessment materials, and teacher/student preparation.Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Mission-Alignment:Demonstrate a passionate commitment to improve the minds and lives of students in and out of immersion school and reinforce their immersion identity.Build professional relationships with teachers that support their development.Collaborate with internal and external Stakeholders (CEO, VP Hellenic Education, VP US Academics, Principals, Special Education Supervisor, Counselors, School Psychologists, and other staff) to maximize the ability of the School to support students' academic and socio-emotional development.Standard Requirements:Favorable Criminal Background Check and Child Abuse Registry Check for the candidate who is offered employmentTuberculin TestMandatory Direct Deposit of paycheckInterested applicants are asked to apply online, upload a resume, and include three professional references within the last year.
