Adjunct Faculty: General Physics I Laboratory
Bay Path University seeks a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach the in-person General Physics I Laboratory. The instructor will guide students through hands-on experiments that reinforce core physics principles such as mechanics, motion, forces, and energy, while fostering scientific inquiry and critical thinking.
There are 2 lab sections Tuesdays at 3:30PM to 5:00PM and 5:00PM to 6:30PM.
Facilitate weekly in-person physics lab sessions
Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials
Instruct students on proper experimental techniques and safety procedures
Guide students in data collection, analysis, and interpretation
Grade lab reports, assignments, and other assessments in a timely manner
Maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive laboratory environment
Hold office hours or provide additional support as needed
Coordinate with lecture instructors to align lab activities with course content
Follow university policies and laboratory safety standards
Compensation:$500 - $1,200 per credit. Adjunct faculty pay rates vary, depending on academic discipline and the course's credit load and level.
Master’s degree in Physics or a closely related field (or significant progress toward degree)
Experience with undergraduate physics labs or equivalent hands-on experience
Strong organizational and communication skills
Commitment to safety and student-centered instruction
