Our overall mission is to use that data to amplify forward-thinking voices, causes, and people.Job DescriptionThe new Events and Marketing Coordinator role is designed for someone passionate about good leadership, great events, and a better future for all. The right person for this job will bring those passions together to elevate GA’s in-house expertise, diving into a brand-new training event while also supporting external marketing efforts. We are specifically looking for someone with professional experience in both event coordination and marketing, and who understands the nuances of our varied client pool. This is a brand-new role with a lot of opportunity for creative ownership, but no marketer is an island – we’re excited to welcome a new member to truly join our team as it grows! ResponsibilitiesEvent Coordination and Promotion (80%)Own the creation, execution, and marketing of at least one large-scale annual training event for Democratic political campaign professionalsIncluding logistics, venue, invites and attendance, run-of-show, presenter management and guidance, onsite coordination, and follow-up Develop and project-manage other campaign trainings and professional development opportunities to be led by our in-house expertsCollaborate with marketing, product, sales, and operations leadership across GA to best plan and leverage staff event attendance Marketing Strategy (20%)Social Media Content Strategy Ideate, create, and edit social media content, including audio and video content, for multiple channelsCurate, post, and analyze performance of social media and other marketing contentGA Product Marketing Strategy and Support Contribute to one-pagers, conference resources, and other offline marketing materials for sales support Maintain awareness of relevant industries, competitors, and partners Understand the core function and unique selling points of all GA products to inform marketing and sales support GA Brand Marketing Strategy and Support Contribute to thought leadership promotion across online and conference spacesCollaborate with the Design team to maintain a consistent image of GA materials Understand the core function of all GA teams to inform marketing of our work and expertise Support internal marketing efforts and feedback flows Required Qualifications Demonstrated professional event planning experience with an emphasis on logistics2-5 years’ experience in marketing, sales, or a comparable field you can speak to in a cover letterStrong professional writing skills with demonstrated experience adapting to multiple voices and audiencesEngagement in politics and a working knowledge of current events and leadersExceptional attention to detail and passion for quality assuranceComfort and facility with data tracking and analytics Curiosity, comfort asking questions, and willingness to be wrong Preferred but not Required QualificationsExperience in: Software/SaaS marketing and product marketsPaid media outside of social mediaPolitical campaigns or in-house nonprofit work, particularly in campaign advance workAdministrative work or executive supportExperience with professional social media strategy Comfort with video editing tools (eg CapCut, Premier Pro, DaVinci)Educational background or coursework in business marketingThe salary range for this position is $65,000 – $75,000 plus benefits, with the possibility of signing and performance bonuses. This is a full-time, in-office position based in our office in the Chinatown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Candidates must be willing to work in-office. We offer 33 days of PTO + two days for every year with GA; 11 federal holidays; and full office closure between Christmas and New Years.
