JOB TITLE: PART-TIME FITNESS CENTER ATTENDANTDEPARTMENT: ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICESSALARY RANGE: $15.30 PER HOURIMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: College Director of Recreation and FitnessSCHEDULE DETAILS: Part-time (not to exceed 19.5 hours per week).LOCATION: Springfield CampusPosition SummaryThe part-time Fitness Center Attendant is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the fitness center. Essential Job DutiesMonitor, maintain, and regularly inspect fitness equipment for functionality, cleanliness, and safety.Maintain fitness center participant records to include emergency contact information and liability waivers.Monitor, track, and evaluate usage patterns to assess the effectiveness of fitness center offerings and their alignment with the college's mission and vision.Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the fitness center by regularly cleaning and sanitizing equipment and surfaces.Inspect locker rooms and shower facilities to ensure they are clean and well maintained.Create a welcoming and supportive environment for fitness center users, offering assistance, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a courteous and professional manner.Serve as an advocate for health and wellness among the college staff, faculty, and students.Performs other duties as assigned.Required Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesHigh school diploma or equivalentCurrent First Aid and CPR/AED Certification (or able to be certified)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsCommitment to promoting a culture of health and wellnessPunctual and reliableAbility to work well with othersPreferred Knowledge Skills & AbilitiesKnowledge of fitness equipment operation and basic maintenancePractical experience in group exercise and/or personal trainingPractical experience in fitness assessments and/or exercise prescriptionExperience working within a collegiate setting.The CollegeOzarks Technical Community College's primary mission is to provide accessible, high quality, affordable technical and general education that is responsive to the educational needs of the community and its diverse constituencies.Ozarks Technical Community College prohibits discrimination and harassment and provides equal opportunities in its admissions, educational programs, activities, and employment regardless of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, marital status, sexual orientation, political affiliation, veteran status, and disabilities that include HIV and AIDS, and medical conditions.
