Job DetailsDescriptionWe are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team. In this full-time onsite position, you will provide project execution of capital projects used to improve the operation of Sulfuric Acid Units. As a Project Engineer, you will work independently on small projects ($250k to $1MM) or as part of project team on larger projects ($1MM to $15MM). You will be responsible for developing project scopes, developing cost estimates, procuring equipment, creating schedules, and overseeing full life cycle of project from conception through construction. You must have excellent communication skills to be able to work effectively with plant personnel on developing projects and ensuring all interested parties agree on project scope.Company OverviewEichleay is a dynamic organization with over 150 years of experience in delivering project management and engineering solutions across various industries, including energy and chemicals, power generation, life sciences, mining, and food and beverage. We are committed to innovation, excellence, and building long-lasting relationships with our clients.Core Responsibilities Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance with zero harm and zero incidents.Specify equipment for sulfuric acid regeneration unit, including, but not limited to: boilers, compressors, heat exchangers, generators, cooling towers, acid towers, precipitators, converters, furnaces, tanks, and pumps.Perform hydraulic calculations for non-compressible and compressible fluids.Size project components such as piping, ducting, valves, pumps, etc.Perform heat transfer calculations for equipment.Develop specification sheets for equipment for use in capital project procurement.Develop PFDs and P&IDs for new or modified operations.Develop and document material and energy balances for new or modified processes.Develop operational and/or functional statements in coordination with Controls Engineer.Manage, schedule, and coordinate all assigned capital projects.Develop, justify, and submit project scopes and cost estimates.Develop and submit capital project appropriation requests.Manage project budgets via tracking and forecasting project costs.Manage projects in the field during construction, including during unit turnarounds.Maintain document control of all project files throughout project duration.Ensure project compliance with applicable codes, laws, policies, and technical specifications.15% Travel RequiredJob RequirementsBachelor of Science in Chemical EngineeringMinimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.Excellent written and oral communications skills.Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve problems.Experience in using and developing engineering spreadsheets/calculations.Experience in understanding full life cycle of a project.Proficient multi-tasking skills; organized, systematic, independent, and self-motivated.Possess knowledge or willingness to learn basic project management processes.Industry Requirements: This role will require some of all of the following requirements at time of hire or during employment:TWIC Certification and current card or ability to obtain.
