The Assistant Project Manager will support Project Managers and field teams throughout the project lifecycle by helping coordinate schedules, documentation, subcontractors, project finances, and client communications to ensure projects are delivered successfully.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Project Managers with planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projectsAssist with project startup activities, including procurement, subcontractor onboarding, and project setupHelp maintain project schedules and track progress against project milestonesCoordinate subcontractor and vendor communications, documentation, and project requirementsAssist with preparation, tracking, and management of submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project logsSupport project budgeting, invoicing, and financial tracking activitiesMonitor project documentation to ensure records are complete, accurate, and up to dateParticipate in project meetings and prepare meeting notes, updates, and action itemsCoordinate with Superintendents and field teams to track production progress and address project issuesAssist with client communications and project status updatesSupport material procurement, delivery coordination, and project logisticsHelp ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and company proceduresAssist with project closeout activities, including punch lists, final documentation, and turnover requirementsContribute to process improvements and support successful project delivery across multiple projectsQualifications3–5 years of construction project coordination, project engineering, assistant project management, or related experience requiredCommercial construction experience requiredUnderstanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentationStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and collaboration skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with Procore or similar construction management software preferredAbility to work independently while supporting multiple project teamsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred; equivalent construction experience will be consideredCompensationSalary commensurate with experience, with full benefits including vacation and sick leave, and a 401(k) employer match program.
