Accounting Manager for manufacturing

GNR has been retained to identify an ACCOUNTING MANAGER / CONTROLLER for a growing DEFENSE / MILITARY MANUFACTURING organization in the Melbourne, FL region. This company’s product portfolio is well-positioned and aggressively growing in very niche domestic & international markets. We’re searching for a motivated self-starter for this fast-paced environment to manage day-to-day accounting needs and be accountable for monthly close-outs. You’ll have visibility, this is a “hands on & onsite” leadership position where you will lead a small accounting team and ensure accurate data and reporting. Collaborate with the executive staff on costs & inventory.Ensure GAAP compliance and standards are met, update policies and procedures, prepare statements, verify & analyze data, and prepare for audits. EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:BS/ MS degree w/ minimum of 5 years of Accounting experience with GAAP compliance & month-end closings. Able to manage a small team responsible for typical accounting functions; general ledger and reconciliations for AR/AP, cost accounting, payroll, and inventory.Experience with MANUFACTURING type COSTS – inventory, scrap, WIP, COGS, costs specific to a programExperience leading a team, motivate + mentoring, good communications skills and ability to interact with Executive leadershipAerospace / Defense / Gov’t accounting exp. is a plus (DCAA, DCMA, FMS, ITAR)US Citizenship required OFFERING: Attractive base salary + visibility & growth + sign-on relocation assistance (if needed)LOCATION: Melbourne, FL region << In office position >>
