Your diligence, mission focus, and passion for maintaining national security make you the first line of defense in PGI's comprehensive force protection security design.The Cleared Armed Security Officer will be responsible for the following:Develop, maintain, and continuously improve knowledge of written and oral post orders, policies, procedures and standards of conductPrevent all unauthorized access by enforcing all Client and PGI policies including implementing and enforcing badging policies, controlling physical locks and keys, and inspecting persons and equipmentProvide security protection for all Client and PGI personnel and property within the assigned area of responsibilityReport or respond to incidents, security, and safety concerns in accordance with established post ordersRespond to alarms in accordance with established post ordersMonitor security camera and other electronic surveillance systemsGuide, follow and direct individuals throughout the SiteAssist in controlling physical and electronic locks and unlocking and locking doors and areasPerform testing and other inspection services related to access control including performing routine inspections and testing of alarms, locks, doors, monitoring systems and other access control mechanismsPrevent theft of physical or intellectual propertyAssist in promoting communication and awareness of data center security policies to client employees, vendors, contractors and othersProvide mail delivery and package receipt services if requiredMaintain standards of Commissioned Security Officer competency, conduct, appearance, and integrity, including compliance with PGI and the Client's Code of Conduct and Uniform PolicyExecute and deliver various reports as assigned by the Site ManagerComplete and maintain pre-assignment, client, State, and PGI sustainment training as directedAssist in collateral duties including but not limited to armory and security equipment maintenance tasksOther duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:A minimum of one (1) year of security, or one year of local, state, or federal law enforcement experience; orA minimum of two (2) years of honorable military service, active or reserve, in any branch of the US Armed ForcesA minimum of 21 years of ageAbility to complete a handgun and shotgun training course in compliance with Texas DPS licensing requirements, and conduct regularly scheduled sustainment training in the San Antonio metropolitan areaMust have reliable transportation during all seasonsMust fluently speak, read, comprehend, and write in EnglishMust have High School diploma or GEDAbility to complete Texas DPS Commissioned Security Officer certification including the DPS online application process, fingerprints, and background investigationAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screen and periodic random drug screeningRequired Security Clearance:TS/SCI clearance with polygraphPreferred Qualifications:Current Texas Commissioned Security Officer License (Level III)Four (4) years of security, military, or law enforcement experienceDemonstrated history of safe and successful security operations experience in highly secure facilitiesPhysical Requirements:Must be able to bend at the waist, knees, and waistMust have the physical ability to perform a variety of training functionsAbility to walk on uneven surfaces, walking long distances on a training facility, and operate equipment.Must be physically capable of standing a 12-hour postPatriot Group International is a global mission support service provider with expeditionary capabilities, providing services to select clients within the intelligence, defense, and private sectors.
