Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Trimble Operator to support our mechanical field layout team. Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience and be proficient in Trimble Field Link. This role is responsible for accurately laying out sleeves, inserts, block-outs, hangers, and other mechanical systems based on coordinated models and construction documents. Maintaining a control accuracy of 1/8" or better throughout the job site is required.ResponsibilitiesOperate Trimble Total Station equipment on mechanical construction sitesPerform precise layout of: Pipe sleeves, hangers, supports, anchors Concrete inserts, equipment pads, and block-outsMaintain and verify 1/8" layout accuracy throughout all phases of the projectUse Trimble Field Link and/or Trimble Access to perform layout from CAD and BIM modelsRead and interpret mechanical shop drawings, coordination models, and layout documentsSet and verify control points and layout benchmarksCollaborate with mechanical foremen, BIM/VDC teams, and general contractorsDocument and track all layout activities dailyMaintain Trimble equipment in clean, calibrated, and working conditionRequirementsMinimum 5 years of mechanical layout experience using robotic total stationsProficient in Trimble Field Link and/or Trimble AccessProven ability to maintain ±1/8" accuracy across large or complex job sitesStrong understanding of mechanical systems (plumbing and HVAC)Experience reading Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD-based layoutsReliable, self-motivated, and safety-focusedStrong communication and field coordination skillsValid driver’s license and dependable transportationWorking ConditionsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, humidity, rain, snow, wind, and sunlight. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs pounds. Use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls is required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
