Visitor Services Associate - Front Desk
Job Description:
Work at the front desk or store desk, greeting visitors and helping them find great items in our store to help them remember their visit to the museum.
Responsible for exceptional customer service and the smooth operation of store sales, inquiries, and admission sales. Responsible for achieving and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and orderliness in the industry. Performs all operations within museum regulations, policies, and procedures. Supervised by visitor experience manager during weekend hours and event management staff during events
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Keep the Visitor Services Department Manager fully informed of all related issues.
Enthusiastically greets and welcomes everyone.
General orderliness and cleanliness of the store/admissions areas.
Taking Store phone orders according to Store policy.
Handles general sales and promotes membership providing high-quality customer service.
Handles computerized sales, efficiently counting customer change, and reconciling cash at the end of shift.
Serves as general museum receptionist and answers incoming phone calls as directed.
Participates in annual inventory at year-end.
Attends scheduled departmental meetings.
Work during the best time of the year, the ACD Festival, on or off site.
Other duties as requested by management.
