The hardware you design here ships on real products, in real elevators, with real safety implications.𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲We are looking for a Hardware Design Engineer to help design and develop the next generation of Smartrise elevator controllers. You will contribute across the hardware development lifecycle, from architecture and schematic capture through PCB layout, bring up, validation, and manufacturing release, working closely with firmware, mechanical, and systems engineers. The work spans circuit design, power electronics, embedded hardware, and real world product validation.𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀▸ Define system and board level hardware architecture and derive design requirements▸ Design and verify analog, digital, and power circuits for controller platforms and supporting subsystems▸ Support schematic capture, PCB layout, prototype bring up, and lab validation▸ Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, test, and operations teams to ensure seamless hardware and software integration▸ Execute debugging, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for development and field issues▸ Support EVT, DVT, and PVT activities, along with EMC, ESD, and safety pre-compliance efforts▸ Contribute to DFM and DFT activities and release documentation including BOMs, fabrication files, assembly files, and test procedures𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀▸ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field▸ 3+ years of experience developing board level hardware products▸ Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer▸ Strong foundation in circuit design, PCB development, and embedded hardware concepts▸ Background in power electronics▸ Hands on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and signal generators▸ Experience with modeling and circuit analysis tools such as MATLAB, LTspice, or similar▸ Demonstrated debugging and problem solving ability on real hardware𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗹𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗱▸ Experience designing power inverters or switching mode power supplies▸ Experience with hardware qualification, certification, and regulatory compliance testing▸ EMC and EMI design and pre-scan experience▸ Familiarity with IEC, UL, and EN standards𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲▸ Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN▸ Experience with structured issue tracking tools such as Jira▸ Familiarity with sustaining engineering, cost reduction, or component obsolescence management▸ Experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲▸ Your hardware ships on real products that move people every day, from low rise hydraulic systems to high speed traction installations▸ Experienced engineering team with direct ownership of products from concept to field deployment▸ Stable, profitable, and growing company with 20+ years of industry leadership and a strong reputation for technical supportReady to build the hardware that keeps the world moving?
