Job Title: Senior Software Developer (Python/Java) – Financial ForecastingLocation: McLean, VA (Onsite) Job SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Software Developer with 10+ years of experience in enterprise software development to support and enhance a financial forecasting platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python or Java, SQL, Git, Pandas, unit testing, and backend application development. Experience in financial services, particularly fixed income, is highly desirable. Required Skills5+ years of software development experience using Python, Java, or C# Strong experience with Git, SQL, and Pandas Experience with Pytest, JUnit, or other unit testing frameworks Shell scripting experience Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or Podman Experience with relational databases Strong problem-solving and debugging skills Agile/Scrum development experience Excellent communication skills  ResponsibilitiesDevelop and enhance enterprise financial forecasting applications Refactor and modernize existing application components Optimize application performance, scalability, and maintainability Support quarterly and annual production financial reporting processes Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code Troubleshoot production issues and resolve defects Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FP&A and business stakeholders Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical documentation Support infrastructure upgrades and platform modernization  Preferred QualificationsExperience in financial services or capital markets Knowledge of Fixed Income concepts (Duration, Convexity, Spread, OAS) Understanding of GAAP accounting Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related STEM field CFA, FRM, or CPA certification (or progress toward certification) Experience with JIRA and CI/CD practices
