This contract opportunity is ideal for engineers with strong experience in electrical power distribution, motor controls, automation systems, and industrial facility design.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign low-, medium-, and high-voltage electrical power distribution systemsDevelop one-line diagrams, panel schedules, load calculations, and equipment sizing documentationSpecify and support installation of switchgear, transformers, MCCs, VFDs, UPS systems, and industrial control equipmentProvide technical support during engineering, construction, testing, and commissioning phasesEnsure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE, NEMA, IEC, and project-specific standardsCoordinate with mechanical, process, civil, instrumentation, and controls teams throughout project executionReview vendor drawings, resolve technical issues, and support project scheduling and reportingParticipate in design reviews, hazard analyses, and client meetingsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering5-10+ years of industrial electrical engineering experienceExperience supporting EPC, design-build, manufacturing, petrochemical, power generation, data center, or industrial facility projectsStrong knowledge of power distribution systems, industrial automation, and electrical protection systemsProficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, ETAP, or related electrical design softwareUnderstanding of industrial construction and field execution practicesEIT or PE license preferredStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to travel occasionally to project or vendor sitesThis is a full-time onsite contract role located in Houston, TX.If you are an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for your next industrial engineering opportunity, click "Apply Now".About Us Advantage Technical connects top- talent in technology, engineering, and technical fields with forward-looking companies.Advantage Technical is an equal opportunity employer.
