Warehouse Lead Under the direction of the warehouse supervisor, the warehouse lead is responsible for coordinating, executing, and optimizing daily warehouse workflows related to shipping, receiving, reweigh, and finished goods movement. This role serves as a key process resource within the warehouse, ensuring work is completed accurately, safely, and efficiently in alignment with established procedures. This position acts as a primary point of contact for operational issues, supports team members through guidance and problem-solving, and collaborates closely with supervisors and cross-functional partners to maintain consistent product flow. This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility but plays a critical role in supporting adherence to standards, training processes, and operational continuity.Essential functions include:Coordinating and executing daily warehouse workflows to support safe, accurate, and timely shipping, receiving, reweigh, and finished-goods movement in alignment with production and shipping schedules.Serving as a primary process resource for warehouse operations by monitoring workflow progress, identifying issues, and troubleshooting disruptions to maintain consistent product flow.Supporting adherence to valley queen expectations related to safety, quality, service, value, teamwork, gmps, and food safety by modeling proper practices and reinforcing standard procedures.Collaborating with warehouse supervisors, supply chain leadership, and cross-functional departments to support plant resupply, equipment readiness, and operational continuity.Facilitating daily shift handoffs and operational huddles to communicate workflow priorities, safety reminders, and key process updates.Performing and supporting general warehouse and shipping functions, including rf scanning, product labeling, directed put-away, inventory accuracy, and general upkeep of warehouse areas and equipment.Supporting shipping office processes such as driver check-in, outbound paperwork preparation, documentation review, and submission of completed records.Maintaining assigned inventories, logs, and documentation (e.g., reweigh cardstock, temperature charts, vacuum charts, poms) in accordance with established requirements.Demonstrating working knowledge of all warehouse and reweigh functions to provide operational coverage, knowledge sharing, and process support as needed.Leading training and onboarding by sharing process knowledge, demonstrating standard work, and partnering with supervisors on training consistency.Coordinating dock usage, trailer flow, and work sequencing in alignment with daily schedules and supervisor direction.Interacting with logistics providers to support timely pickup and delivery of finished products and supplies.Competencies include:Technical capacityProblem solving/analysisCommunication proficiencyInitiativeThis position does not have direct supervisory responsibility but will be asked to provide relief supervisor coverage for absent supervisors. This position is expected to lead by example, serve as a knowledgeable and reliable process resource, and foster positive working relationships across the warehouse team. This role supports operational consistency by reinforcing established procedures, escalating issues appropriately, and contributing to a collaborative and accountable work environment.This job operates in a warehouse environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to temperature variation, chemical transportation, forklift operation and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.This is a full-time position, and days of work are on an alternating, repeating schedule. Hours of work are 6:00 p.m. 6:00 a.m. This position will work alternating weekends.Occasional travel is required for this position.High school diploma or ged is required for this position. Current forklift certification required. Desire two or more years in a warehouse facility. Minimum age requirement is 18. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver's license prior to employment.Other duties may change at any time with or without notice.
