NO sponsorship available.MUST be local candidate or willing to relocate on your own.Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Application Engineer with deep experience in fluid power systems (hydraulics and pneumatics) to support customer applications, product integration, and technical solution development. This role bridges engineering and customer-facing functions, ensuring optimal system performance and successful implementation of engineered solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the technical lead for customer applications involving hydraulic and pneumatic systemsCollaborate with sales and customers to define system requirements and recommend optimal solutionsDesign, specify, and support integration of fluid power components and systems (valves, pumps, actuators, manifolds, etc.)Provide troubleshooting and performance optimization for existing systemsSupport product selection, sizing, and validation for custom and standard applicationsAssist in prototype development, testing, and system validationCreate technical documentation, application notes, and customer-facing materialsWork cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field5-10+ years of experience in fluid power systems (hydraulics and/or pneumatics)Strong knowledge of:Hydraulic circuit design and analysisPneumatic control systemsFluid dynamics and system troubleshootingExperience with component selection and system integrationAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specificationsHands-on experience with testing, validation, and field supportStrong communication skills with the ability to work directly with customers Preferred QualificationsExperience with mobile hydraulics, industrial automation, or motion control systemsFamiliarity with CAD tools and simulation softwareKnowledge of industry standards and safety requirements related to fluid power systems Key TraitsCustomer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilityAbility to manage multiple projects and prioritiesDetail-oriented with a hands-on engineering approach
