Senior Imagery / Order of Battle Analyst – AI/ML Mission Support

Job DescriptionBAE Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Imagery / Order of Battle Analyst to support mission-critical work for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in Falls Church, VA.This role is ideal for a seasoned intelligence professional who understands military capabilities, equipment, infrastructure, force structure, and operational patterns — and can apply that expertise across imagery, geospatial data, and emerging AI/ML-enabled mission support.In this position, you will use your GEOINT, imagery analysis, and Order of Battle expertise to identify, classify, annotate, and validate objects, equipment, facilities, and activity across available imagery and other source data. Your work will directly support the creation, review, and verification of training data used in artificial intelligence and machine learning platforms.The right candidate would have, in addition to traditional Imagery Analysis skills, the ability to recognize and categorize military vehicles, ships, aircraft, and other objects using SAR, EO, or FMV data. They would also possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and have experience performing peer reviews and quality control.Key ResponsibilitiesApply imagery, GEOINT, and Order of Battle expertise to identify and assess air, ground, maritime, equipment, facilities, and infrastructure-related targets.Support AI/ML mission capabilities by creating, reviewing, validating, and refining training data.Use imagery and geospatial tools to create, edit, analyze, and interpret GEOINT products.Apply photointerpretation skills and analytic tradecraft to categorize, annotate, and verify objects across imagery and supporting data sources.Provide subject matter expertise on military equipment, force structure, infrastructure, and operational indicators.Support intelligence production, reporting, briefings, and customer-facing analytic requirements.Collaborate with analysts, technical teams, and mission partners in a fast-paced operational environment.Mentor junior analysts and help strengthen team tradecraft, quality, and mission understanding.Why This Role MattersThis is a hands-on mission role for an analyst who understands the intelligence value behind the image. Your expertise will help improve how mission data is identified, categorized, validated, and used to support advanced analytic capabilities. You will work at the intersection of GEOINT, military intelligence, Order of Battle analysis, and AI/ML-enabled mission support — helping deliver accurate, usable intelligence to customers who depend on it.Required Education, Experience, & Skills8+ years of imagery, GEOINT, geospatial, military intelligence, or related intelligence analysis experience.Strong Order of Battle experience, including knowledge of air, ground, maritime, equipment, and infrastructure.Experience supporting Intelligence Community, national-level, or military intelligence missions.Experience with GEOINT exploitation, reporting, or imagery-based analysis.Proficiency with GIS or imagery exploitation tools such as SOCET GXP, ArcGIS, QGIS, RemoteView, ERDAS, ENVI, Google Earth, or similar platforms.Knowledge of the intelligence collection process.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to operate in a dynamic, mission-focused environment.Ability to obtain and maintain required customer certifications, including GPC-F and IA-II.Ability to mentor and train junior team members.Preferred Education, Experience, & SkillsExperience with multi-modal imagery exploitation including Synthetic Aperture Radar, Electro Optical imagery, and video.Experience with AI/ML training data creation, annotation, validation, review, or Structured Observation Management.Experience with targeting, precision point mensuration, or target development.Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Intelligence Studies, or a related field.Completion of a certified imagery schoolhouse, Geospatial Intelligence Training Program, or comparable military/IC training.Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
