We are working with a private equity-backed manufacturing business seeking a hands-on Controller to lead finance at one of its key operating sites. This is a high-impact role where you’ll sit at the intersection of accounting, operations, and leadership—driving performance, visibility, and discipline across the business.This isn’t a back-office reporting role. You’ll be on the ground, partnering directly with site leadership, owning the numbers, and helping shape decision-making in real time.The RoleYou’ll take full ownership of site-level finance, ensuring accurate reporting, a disciplined close process, and strong cash flow management, while leading and developing a small accounting team.You’ll also act as a true business partner to operational leadership—translating financial data into actionable insights around cost, pricing, and profitability.What You’ll Be Responsible ForOverseeing monthly close, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clean financialsDriving cash flow improvements, with a focus on billing and collectionsLeading profitability analysis across projects, products, and operationsManaging and developing a team across AP, AR, payroll, and billingPartnering closely with site leadership to support decision-makingIdentifying and implementing process improvements and automationSupporting ERP utilization and improving reporting visibilityWhat They’re Looking ForController / Plant Controller / Senior Accounting Leader experience in a manufacturing or project-based environmentBachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance coupled with MBA or CPAStrong cost accounting or job costing experience Comfortable being hands-on—willing to roll up sleeves and lead from the frontExperience with ERP systems and a mindset toward automation and efficiencyAbility to translate financials into operational insight for non-finance leadersProven leadership experience managing and developing teamsThis is a strong opportunity for someone who wants visibility, ownership, and influence within a growing, PE-backed platform—without being stuck purely in corporate reporting.
