Job DetailsDescriptionReports to: Distribution Center Department ManagerPosition SummaryThe Equipment Operator is responsible for stocking, replenishment, put-away, consolidation, and bin maintenance functions of product, using manual and powered material handling equipment.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThe position has no supervisory responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesStock product within storage locations in a neat and orderly manner to avoid damage and/or lost productsPerform replenishments and put away functions as directed by I-Pod deviceVerify accurate counts and accurate locationsHandle errors: communicate them to Lead/Manager and ensure paperwork and product is handled correctly, completely, and promptlyConsolidate product to maximize space utilizationParticipate in routine cycle countsWeighs or counts items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards. Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.Meet and maintain accuracy and productivity level requirementsPartake in overall housekeeping of distribution center including cleaning, organizing, dusting, sweeping, etc.Other duties as assignedEducation/Experience/QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED, requiredValid Driver’s License, requiredPowered Industrial Truck LicenseSkills & AbilitiesAbility to effectively communicate with leadership, managers, leads, and peersProficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other job-related equipment and softwareDemonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environmentWilling to participate in Company designated trainingAbility to work with minimum supervision/guidanceMust be able to practice safe work habitsPhysical DemandsThis is a General Warehouse position that requires sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and use of hands continuously for eight hours. This position requires lifting/moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally with assistance lifting/moving up to 100 pounds. This position requires extended amounts of time walking and climbing stairs. This position requires frequent work time beyond an eight-hour shift/40-hour week including shift rotation and weekends. This position requires the operation of basic office equipment.
