Ephraim Elementary Student Custodian

Ephraim Elementary Facility Maintenance Clean and maintain Ephraim Elementary facilities using routine procedures to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of building operations and grounds. Essential Functions Cleaning Maintain a cleaning schedule that will include cleaning floors, whiteboards, wastebaskets, windows, furniture, equipment, and restrooms. Keep school buildings and grounds neat and clean. Maintenance and Repair Move furniture or equipment within the building as directed by the principal. Assist in setting up facilities for special events. Maintain school grounds, including mowing, trimming, and landscaping; operate and repair sprinkler systems; and manage snow and ice removal to ensure safe and accessible walkways and parking areas. Safety Assist with opening and closing the building each school day, ensuring all exit doors are open and all panic bolts are working correctly during hours of building occupancy. Follow established procedures for locking, checking, and safeguarding facilities. Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting and climbing. Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures. Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and promptly report any not immediately correctable to the supervisor. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures. This position will be 14 hours a week during the school year, and up to 40 hours a week during the summer.
