Network Engineer

Position Title: Network EngineerLocation: Columbia, SC (Onsite – No remote for first year)Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)Network Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft SCCM/MECM, Intune/MDM, and GCC High environments. Responsible for managing enterprise infrastructure, ensuring security compliance, and supporting network and server operations.have hands-on experience in public sector environments, strong automation skills, and the ability to support and optimize enterprise systems while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards such as Pub1075.Technical ResponsibilitiesManage and support SCCM/MECM, Intune, and MDM environmentsAdminister and maintain Windows Server (2019/2022/2025) and Windows 11 systemsMonitor and maintain network infrastructure, servers, and security systemsPerform system installations, configurations, upgrades, and maintenanceTroubleshoot complex hardware, software, and network issuesSupport disaster recovery and failover strategiesAutomate administrative tasks using PowerShell scriptingWork with MS SQL, clustering, and .NET-based applicationsImplement and manage Active Directory permissions and RBAC modelsEnsure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirementsConduct root cause analysis and system optimizationCollaborate with WAN teams and other infrastructure groupsFunctional ResponsibilitiesCommunicate effectively with technical teams and leadershipProvide documentation including design documents, SOPs, and user guidesRequired Skills5+ years of experience with Microsoft SCCM/MECM and Intune/MDM3+ years of experience with Microsoft GCC High Tenant5+ years of experience with Pub1075 compliance, audits, or implementations5+ years of experience in Change Management3+ years of experience with Active Directory (RBAC & user access control)5+ years of experience with LAN and VLAN networking5+ years of experience with VMware virtualizationExperience working directly with a State or Government AgencyPreferred SkillsExperience with STIG HardeningKnowledge of Hybrid Cloud ArchitectureExperience with Hyperconverged InfrastructureStrong Shell / PowerShell scriptingAdditional SkillsStrong understanding of networking, storage, and operating systemsExperience with enterprise security standardsExcellent communication and documentation skillsStrong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
