Job Description:Job SummaryThe Orthopedic Spine Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care within a high-volume spine surgery practice. This role includes outpatient clinic responsibilities, inpatient rounding, perioperative management, and serving as first assist in the operating room. The APP works collaboratively with orthopedic spine surgeons and interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality, patient-centered care across the continuum.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive history and physical examinations for spine patientsOrder and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and laboratory studiesDevelop and implement evidence-based treatment plansProvide pre-operative and post-operative patient careFirst assist in spine surgical proceduresConduct inpatient rounds and coordinate discharge planningEducate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and recovery plansCollaborate with surgeons, nursing staff, therapy services, and care coordination teamsMaintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical recordQualificationsGraduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant programBoard certification as an NP or PA-CCurrent state licensure or eligibilityPrevious orthopedic or spine experience preferredSurgical first assist experience preferredStrong clinical judgment and excellent communication skillsCommitment to high-quality, patient-centered careWorking Place:Christiansburg, Virginia, United StatesCompany :
