Certified Pharmacy Technician

OverviewWe are seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician, sometimes referred to as a Registered Certificated Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy Tech (CPhT) or Board-Certified Pharmacy Technician.The Certified Pharmacy Technicians (CPhTs) support pharmacists by preparing and dispensing medications, including sterile IVs, chemotherapy, and unit-dose drugs for patients. They manage medication inventory across patient care areas, maintain automated dispensing systems, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Certified Pharmacy Technicians play a vital role in patient safety by verifying orders, preventing errors, and ensuring timely delivery of critical medications.Shifts Available: DaysEmployment Type: Full TimeHours: 8-hour shiftsLocation: Dallas Medical Center - Farmers Branch, TXHere are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare:Health, dental, and vision insurance optionsPaid vacation, sick time and holidaysBereavement leave, FMLA and other leave optionsEmployer 401K optionsTuition reimbursement optionsLife, disability, and other insurance optionsMany other amazing benefits ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):Prepare and dispense medications including unit-dose, IV admixtures, chemotherapy, and operate automated dispensing cabinetsManage inventory across nursing units, crash carts, and automated systems while handling controlled substances and monitoring expirationsEnter and verify medication orders in hospital EMR systems to ensure accuracy of dosage, form, route, and frequencySupport patient safety by checking labels, assisting with medication reconciliation, delivering medications, and preparing drugs for specialized populationsComply with USP standards, maintain regulatory documentation, and take on specialized roles such as IV compounding, clinical support, or lead technician dutiesQualificationsBefore we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:1. Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred2. State Pharmacy Technician License/Registration required (if required by state regulations)3. High school diploma or equivalent4.
