Director, MEP Commissioning (Data Centers & Hyperscale)📍 Location: Texas💰 Salary: $170,000 – $220,000 + bonusFutura Energy Group is proud to partner with a leading Texas-based General Contractor in their search for a Director of MEP Commissioning – Data Centers. This role is critical for ensuring the successful delivery of large-scale, high-performance hyperscale data center facilities through technical excellence and rigorous commissioning oversight.In this role, you'll serve as the senior technical leader responsible for all MEP commissioning activities across a portfolio of mission-critical programs. You’ll set standards, manage commissioning teams, and ensure that projects are delivered to the highest operational and quality standards. Working closely with project executives, operations, and preconstruction, you will drive commissioning strategies that enable flawless project performance and long-term client satisfaction.What you'll do:Lead and oversee MEP commissioning for hyperscale and mission-critical data center projects from preconstruction through final startup.Develop and implement commissioning plans, protocols, and procedures for all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.Serve as the primary technical commissioning authority, building trusted relationships with clients, designers, and internal teams.Mentor and manage commissioning managers, engineers, and technical specialists, fostering technical excellence and accountability.Monitor and drive commissioning performance across cost, schedule, quality, and compliance on multiple concurrent programs.Partner with project leadership to identify, mitigate, and resolve technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.Champion a culture of continuous improvement, operational rigor, and technical innovation within the commissioning function.What we're looking for:Mission-critical commissioning leader with 10+ years of progressive experience, including senior-level oversight of MEP systems in data center construction.Proven track record delivering large-scale Data Center or hyperscale projects, including fast-track environments.Deep expertise in MEP-intensive, redundancy-driven construction and commissioning processes, with strong technical knowledge across HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.Strong client management skills with an established network among owners, developers, and CxA firms.Experience in a GC, EPC, or Owner’s Rep setting with demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder commissioning programs.If this sounds like you, or someone in your network, reach out directly or apply below.
