Piedmont United Family Services’ behavioral health services are provided throughout Southwest & Hampton Roads, Virginia.We provide comprehensive and individualized services, including mobile and community crisis stabilization, skills training and supports, counseling, interpersonal skills training, vocational assistance, supported education, substance abuse services and housing resources. We provide mental and behavioral health services to adults, adolescents, and children ages 5 and up.Job Summary:We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Qualified Professional to join our team. As a Qualified Professional, you will be responsible for providing specialized support and counseling to individuals in need. Your expertise in special education, crisis management, gender issues counseling, group therapy, and behavioral therapy will be essential in helping our adolescent clients achieve their goals.Responsibilities:- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients- Provide counseling and therapy sessions to individuals and groups- Implement behavioral interventions and strategies to address specific needs- Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers and applied behavior analysts, to ensure comprehensive care- Monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in the field of counseling and therapyQualifications:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field- Certification or licensure as a Qualified Professional- Experience working with intensive in home, in-school therapeutic day treatment, mental health skill building with children and adolescents with diverse needs- Strong knowledge of special education principles and practices- Proficiency in crisis management techniques- Familiarity with gender issues counseling- Experience conducting group therapy sessions- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles is a plus- Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsWe offer competitive compensation packages and opportunities for professional growth.
