The Texas Department of Public Safety is seeking a dynamic individual to oversee our Network Services operations in Austin, TX. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a role that blends leadership, strategic planning, and technical expertise.As a key player in our organization, you will:Lead and oversee Network Services operations, including WAN, LAN, wireless, SD-WAN, and network security platforms.Manage daily operational activities, ensuring incident management, problem resolution, and service availability.Serve as an escalation point for high-priority network and infrastructure issues.Coordinate and prioritize workloads across Network Services teams.Support ongoing and planned initiatives, such as SD-WAN implementation and network monitoring tools.Ensure compliance with agency security standards and participate in change management processes.Collaborate with various teams to support cross-functional initiatives.Maintain documentation of network architecture and operational procedures. RequirementsMinimum of seven (7) years' experience in supervisory/management roles, providing clear direction and promoting teamwork.Minimum of seven (7) years' experience with administration, maintenance, and design of Cisco VoIP solutions. PreferencesMinimum of five (5) years' experience managing a networking team in a highly complex environment.Experience with implementation and support of 24x7x365 network, voice, and video environments.Located in the vibrant city of Austin, TX, this role offers a hybrid working environment with opportunities for both on-site and telework.
