Senior Optical Engineer

A company is looking for a Senior Optical Engineer to support exploration missions with optical engineering expertise for spaceflight instrumentation. Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and review optical designs for laser altimeters and lidar systems, providing feedback on performance and manufacturability Lead structural, thermal, and optical performance analyses and produce associated deliverables Collaborate with subject matter experts and engage in project meetings to discuss methods, results, and team coordinationRequired QualificationsExperience in optical design of spaceflight instruments and lidar systems Expertise in optical analysis, tolerancing, and STOP analysis Knowledge of optical materials selection for spaceflight environments Proven ability to lead optical design and related technical activities MS degree in Optical Engineering or equivalent experience
