C Squared Systems is currently seeking a DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems) Field Engineer to join our team. If you are highly motivated and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment which occurs mainly in the field, this may be the role for you. You will be interacting with customers and co-workers on a daily basis and providing timely and detailed updates. This position will require you to be in the field 90% of the time.
Primary Responsibilities:
Takes the lead on system commissioning, integrations, and activations
Troubleshooting existing Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) by performing system tests using scanners, spectrum analyzers, transmitters, and other electronic test equipment
Performs site surveys and in-depth walkthroughs
Works (hands on) with system components such as antennas, fiber optics, coax, and RF amplifiers
Troubleshoots and repairs systems for optimal performance
Application of RF principles/theory (signal path, power, frequency, noise, modulations, etc.)
Multi-tasks on projects on a day-to-day basis
Maintains test equipment and tools for continuous use
Travels to various job sites within Maryland and outlying regions (DC, Northern Virginia, Pennsylvania and Delaware)
Skills/Qualifications:
2-year college degree (preferably technical) with relevant coursework, 4-year degree preferred
2 years of related experience (previous experience with DAS architecture and other cellular systems), 3+ years preferred
Knowledge of various wireless technologies (LTE, 5G NR, etc.)
Possess strong technical aptitude and the desire to learn and advance within a technical field
Comfortable working in high pressure situations
Ability to receive and give direction on an as needed basis
Knowledge of RF optimization techniques and best practices
Proficient in basic computer applications (MS Office, etc.)
Must have a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
