Quality Inspector

Postion: Quality InspectorPosition Summary: Responsible for inspecting and testing Rotor Clip products to ensure they meet production standards. They will also drive continuous improvement for product and process performance. Education/Experience:High School diploma or equivalent is requiredMinimum of 3 years’ experience in a Quality Inspector role, within a manufacturing environment that is certified to AS9100, IATF 16949, or ISO 9001. ASQ Certifications a plus Skills:Solid communication skills, able to work effectively in cross functional teams.Excellent interpersonal skills to lead teams and drive projects to successful closure.Demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail and ability to work well in team environment. Exercise initiative, achievement and independent judgment.High ability to multi-task and perform under pressureGood math and technical skills.Basic computer skillsAttention to detailShould be willing to travelMain tasks, duties, authorization limits and deputy functions:Directly responsible for ensuring all quality standards for products are met prior to shipment to customer.Reading blueprints and specifications to ensure that operations meet production standardsRecommending any necessary adjustments and changes to production processesMeasure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the specifications.Inspecting and testing the products using tooling such as micrometers, calipers, or gauges to measure productsRemoving products that don’t meet production standards and recommending strategies to improve product qualityDocuments inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and inputs data into quality database.Performing inspections at random to assess product qualityCoordinate and facilitate Customer Source InspectionsSupport efforts to facilitate quality systems compliance and certifications.
