About the Opportunity:The Data Engineer role is responsible for designing, building, and operating the data infrastructure that supports the organization’s platform, internal operations, and customer-facing services. This early-stage position works cross-functionally to transform raw operational data into reliable, scalable data products that enable faster delivery and better decision-making across the company.3. Responsibilities:Design and build scalable, reliable data pipelines ingesting data from infrastructure, platform services, and business systems.Define data models and schemas supporting operational workflows and analytics.Clean and structure data to create a comprehensive digital representation of operational status.Manage data access permissions and security within data platforms.Develop trusted datasets and metrics for internal processes and customer insights.Enable self-service analytics with clear data contracts and documentation.Build use cases to support capacity planning, cost optimization, reliability analysis, and reporting.Collaborate with product and commercial teams to translate questions into data solutions.Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting.Maintain data lineage, freshness, and consistency.Establish best practices for data versioning, access control, and governance.Improve system resilience and observability continuously.Take end-to-end ownership of projects from design to production.Define standards, tools, and workflows for data handling.Contribute to technical decisions as platform and customer base grow.Serve as a thought partner to engineers and operators.4. Requirements:Extensive experience with Palantir Foundry, including ontology modeling, pipeline development, API integration, and data platform design.Strong skills in Python and data engineering libraries such as Spark, PySpark, Dask, and pandas.Familiarity with API-driven data integration methods like REST, GraphQL, and Foundry Action APIs.Experience with Git workflows, code reviews, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-evolving environments.Effective communication skills for diverse audiences.Demonstrated ownership, pragmatism, and delivery of practical solutions.Nice to have:Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.Knowledge of distributed systems, monitoring data, or usage-based billing data.Experience supporting customer-facing data products.5.
