You will report to the Engineering Manager and will have an onsite work structure in Chatsworth, CA.To be considered for the Manufacturing Electronics Design Engineer II opening, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineer, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fieldMinimum 7+ years of experience in aerospace or high-reliability electronics designStrong knowledge of electronic hardware design, including schematic capture, PCB layout oversight, component selection, and design for manufacturability/testDemonstrated experience in embedded software or firmware development, including C/C++ or equivalent languages for microcontrollers or processorsProficiency in reading and developing circuit schematics (analog, digital, microcontrollers, power circuits).Working knowledge of electronic assembly and workmanship standards including IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 (Class 3 preferred)Experience with test and measurement systems; familiarity with NI LabVIEW, PXI systems, or similar test software environments desirableUnderstanding of aerospace materials, processes, environmental requirements, and regulatory considerationsKnowledge of configuration management, drawing practices, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)Experience with FAA Repair Station procedures and regulations preferredStrong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills across both hardware and software domainsAbility to communicate effectively and produce clear, concise technical documentationProject management and task-prioritization skills in a fast-paced engineering environmentAs a Manufacturing Electronics Design Engineer II, you will:Design and develop electronic hardware, including analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits, power electronics, microcontroller-based systems, and electro-mechanical interfacesDevelop, modify, and maintain embedded software/firmware to support electronic designs, including device drivers, control algorithms, communication interfaces, and test/debug utilitiesGenerate and maintain engineering documentation including schematics, PCB layouts, bills of materials (BOMs), design analyses, and interface control documentsReview and release printed circuit board fabrication and assembly files (e.g., Gerber files) for completeness and manufacturabilitySupport the introduction of new and adopted designs into Factory New (FN) and MRO manufacturing environments, collaborating with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure producibility and testabilityDevelop or support development of test methods, test procedures, and automated or semi-automated test equipment, including software-based test solutionsAddress component and system obsolescence by identifying qualified replacements and redesigning hardware and/or software as required to maintain form, fit, and functionParticipate in drawing change processes (ECRs, ECNs) and configuration control activitiesProvide technical support to Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Sales as neededAssist Purchasing in resolving supplier technical issues, component selection, and specification interpretationPerform technical reviews of RFQs, purchase orders, and externally supplied designsParticipate in material review board (MRB) activities related to electronic and electro-mechanical productsMentor and guide junior engineers and support cross-training initiatives within the engineering teamParticipate in concurrent engineering activities and cross-functional design reviewsSupport technical evaluation of electronic and electro-mechanical products for potential licensingParticipate in management, program, and engineering meetings as required.Our Benefits:Comprehensive medical insuranceCompetitive PTO, holiday pay, and sick leaveCompany 401K plan with up to 4% matched contributionAnnual bonus program (varies by level and discretionary based on company and individual performance)Flexible working arrangementsPaid volunteering opportunitiesAccess to mental health champions across our sitesCommitment to developmentEmployee referral program
