American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Oregon with Epic proficiency and trauma experience required.

Night shift position in a hospital Emergency Department
Shifts are 3x12 hours, either 1700–0530 or 1900–0730
Work in a Level I Trauma Center and academic teaching hospital environment
Patient ratios are typically 1:3-4
Serves a diverse population including trauma, acute stroke, STEMI, psychosis, sepsis, and patients with complex or substance-related medical histories
Procedures include moderate and deep sedation, ultrasound, intubation, cardioversion, D&C, sexual assault exams, CPR, and imminent deliveries
Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience required
Weekend shifts required
Floating required within the hospital; no floating to sister hospitals
Requirements
Active OR RN license required (pending license accepted if application submitted)
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
Epic EMR experience required
Trauma experience required
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required; TNCC preferred
No first-time travelers accepted; at least 1 year of travel experience required if Epic experience is recent
References from two managers or supervisors within the last 24 months required
COVID vaccination required with no exemptions
Comprehensive background check required; no background or license issues accepted
Additional Information
Responsible for triage, patient assessment, coordinating care, and providing a range of emergency procedures
Part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center environment
Scrubs provided; no prints allowed
Up to 1 week of requested time off (RTO) allowed
Return staff must have a 6 month break in service to be considered
