BizOps Analyst
We're looking for a BizOps Analyst at a Series-B HRTech startup to embed with the delivery team and arm them with the data and insights they need to perform at a high level. This is a data-first role. You'll spend most of your time in SQL and dashboards, translating raw data into clear insights that drive decisions. If you've thought about strategic business problems (e.g., in consulting) and then gotten your hands dirty in a fast-moving startup, this is the role for you.What You'll Do — Phase 1: Delivery AnalyticsBuild and maintain Metabase dashboards that track SPL team performance, funnel health, and delivery metricsOwn ad hoc analysis for delivery leadership and team — answering questions about what's working, what's not, and whyDig into data trends across the book of business: patterns in role success rates, impact of boosts and signing bonuses, recruiter supply dynamicsArm SPLs with data-backed insights they can use in their day-to-day — during intake calls, business reviews, and client conversationsSupport the Delivery function's understanding of metrics, inputs/leading indicators, and follow-up trackingLeverage AI tools (Claude, internal tooling) to accelerate analysis and automate workflows for the Delivery teamWhat You'll Do — Phase 2: Marketplace BizOpsWrite SQL to analyze marketplace performance: funnel conversion, supply-demand imbalances, cohort behavior, liquidityHelp define, track, and evolve core marketplace metrics across the businessPartner with data and engineering to improve data models, instrumentation, and metric definitionsSupport the operating cadence: weekly business reviews, functional reviews, and the follow-up systems that keep teams accountableDesign and enforce processes for critical functions — scalable systems, not one-off fixesWork cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Ops to unblock issues and drive initiativesLeverage AI tools (Claude, internal tooling) to accelerate analysis and automate workflowsWhat We're Looking For2–4 years of experience, ideally combining structured problem-solving (consulting or similar) with hands-on analytics at a marketplaceAdvanced SQL skills — you're comfortable writing queries against large, messy datasetsStrong Excel/Sheets skills and comfort building models, pivot tables, and ad hoc analysesExperience using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) as part of your analytical workflowSharp analytical thinking: able to go from ambiguous question ? structured approach ? clear recommendationFamiliarity with BI tools like Metabase, Looker, or Tableau Thrives in a fast-paced, early-stage environment — comfortable with ambiguity and wearing multiple hatsLow ego, intellectually curious, high agency — you don't wait for permission to go find the answer
