CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant

Certified Nursing Assistant Member of the nursing care team. Provides direct patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse. Provides patient support as directed for a variety of activities including (but not limited to): nutrition services, transport, daily hygiene, mobility, and data collection. $3000 Sign-On Bonus (full-time) Minimum Education: High School Diploma or 6-months experience Minimum Years of Experience: 1 Year of experience as a nurse tech preferred Required Certifications/Licensure: CNA Certified in SC · Participate in and receive the nursing report upon reporting for duty. · Assist residents with activities of daily living. · Assist in transporting residents to/from appointments, activity and social programs, etc., as necessary. · Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc. · Answer resident calls promptly. · Assist residents to walk with or without self-help devices as instructed. · Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures as instructed. · Measure and record temperatures, pulse, and respirations (TPRs), as instructed. · Assist in preparing the resident for a physical examination. · Check residents routinely to assure that their personal care needs are being met. · Observe and report the presence of pressure areas and skin breakdowns to prevent decubitus ulcers (bedsores). · Provide daily indwelling catheter care. · Provide daily perineal care. · Assist with the application of slings, elastic bandages, binders, etc. · Provide daily Range of Motion Exercises. Record data as instructed. · Notify the Charge/Staff Nurse of any resident leaving/missing from the facility. · Keep floors dry. Report spills immediately. · Keep excess supplies and equipment off the floor. Store in designated areas. · Keep the nurses' call system within easy reach of the resident. · Report all hazardous conditions and equipment to the Charge/Staff Nurse immediately. · Follow established safety precautions in the performance of all duties. · Clean, disinfect, and return all resident care equipment to its designated storage area after each use. · Perform routine housekeeping duties (i.e., clean bedrails, overbed table, night stands, etc., that relate to nursing care procedures). · Wash hands before entering and leaving an isolation room/area. · Follow established isolation precautions and procedures. · Use gowns and gloves as indicated. · Other duties as assigned BENEFITS!
