Slitter Operator / Laminator Operator

In this energetic role, you will operate and troubleshoot advanced machinery to cut, laminate, and prepare materials with accuracy and efficiency. Duties Set up, operate, and monitor slitting and laminating machines to ensure precise cutting and layering of materials. Perform quality inspections using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments to verify product specifications. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on industrial equipment including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), press brake machines, CNC lathes, CNC machines, and plastics extrusion or injection molding machinery. Handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment, ensuring proper materials handling and storage practices. Inspect finished products for defects or inconsistencies, maintaining high standards of quality control throughout the production process. Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot mechanical issues or process inefficiencies, applying basic math and fabrication skills when necessary. Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating industrial equipment such as slitters and laminators. Proficiency in machine operation combined with a solid understanding of measurement techniques for quality control. Ability to troubleshoot engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and industrial systems. Hands-on experience with hand tools, fabrication techniques, and materials handling procedures. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine automation control systems. Warehouse experience including forklift operation for safe material movement. Skilled in precision measurement instruments like calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools essential for quality assurance. Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in production processes. Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments. Experience in plastics manufacturing processes such as blow molding, extrusion, injection molding, and fabrication assembly.
