Front Desk Receptionist

Georgia Dance Conservatory is seeking a part-time Front Desk Staff Member to provide excellent customer service, ensure the safety of dancers upon arrival and dismissal, and provide general assistance to faculty and dancers during class hours. Looking to fulfill evening shifts on Wednesdays from 2:30-9:30pm, Fridays from 11am-3pm, Saturdays from 8:30am-1:30pm, as well as additional weekly shifts as needed. Hourly pay ranges from $15-$18/hour depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include free adult danceclasses.Job Summary: GDC Front Desk Staff Members are in charge of the daily goings on inside the studio duringclass hours, as well as sales, customer service, and general dancer support. They serve as theface of the dance studio and main point of interaction for the majority of our clients. Tasksrequire you to be up and about, interacting with and overseeing everyone who enters GDC.Responsibilities● Oversees arrival and dismissal of all dancers taking classes each day● Provides general support to dancers who may need assistance before, during, and after class● Main point of contact for all clients via dancer arrival/drop off, email, and phone calls● Matches clients and dancers with correct programs and classes based on age and experience● Provides assistance to clients navigating website and Studio Director● Monitors email and answers phone calls● Fulfills additional administrative tasks as needed● Executes facility opening or closing procedures● Ensures facility is safe during operation● General maintenance duties (restocking bathroom and classroom supplies, taking out trash, etc.)QualificationsPositive attitude and team playerEnjoys working with children and young adultsConfident communicator and problem solverWell organized and pays attention to detailAble to manage time and perform multiple tasks under pressureOpen, growth mindset and willing to learnLove and appreciation for dance and the performing arts (prior dance experience is a plus, but not required)Proficient in basic computer skills, Microsoft Word, Google Suite, ZoomAbility to navigate multiple software programs:Studio DirectorMindBodyBANDAbout GDCGeorgia Dance Conservatory (GDC) is located on the Historic Marietta Square and carries a65+ year dance legacy that began with founder Ruth Mitchell.
