Job Description Center DirectorPosition SummaryThe Center Director is responsible for the overall leadership, operation, and success of the childcare center. This role oversees daily operations, staff supervision, compliance, financial performance, and family engagement while fostering a safe, positive, and nurturing environment for children, families, and staff.The Center Director leads with integrity, exercises sound judgment, and upholds our Vision, Mission, Core Values, and Circle of Care philosophy. This position plays a key role in promoting the center within the community and achieving enrollment, quality, and profitability goals.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide daily leadership and management aligned with our Core Values.Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local licensing, safety, and educational regulations.Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging environment for children, families, and staff.Build strong relationships with families, staff, community partners, and prospective clients.Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing parent questions and concerns promptly and professionally.Recruit, hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and support center staff.Maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios at all times.Lead and motivate a high-performing team focused on quality education and care.Plan and facilitate monthly team meetings and required trainings.Support teachers in curriculum development and implementation.Create and execute center marketing plans and coordinate events to drive enrollment.Monitor and manage center budgets, financial performance, and company assets.Track and meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with accurate and timely reporting.Conduct daily facility safety checks and oversee emergency preparedness, drills, and documentation.Maintain accurate administrative, staff, and child records in compliance with regulations.Manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with company standards.Participate in required trainings, meetings, and off-site professional development.Perform classroom or operational duties as needed.QualificationsBachelor's Degree preferred (Early Childhood Education or related field).Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a licensed childcare program.Meets ongoing state and company continuing education requirements.Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).Customer-focused mindset with the ability to build trust and strong relationships.Ability to make sound decisions in fast-paced or emergency situations.Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and smart devices.Team-oriented, adaptable, self-motivated, and committed to professional growth.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 35 lbs regularly and up to 60 lbs occasionally.Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, kneel, and move throughout the center.Ability to work in classrooms, office spaces, and outdoors during recess.Moderate noise level typical of a childcare environment.Why Join UsSupportive leadership and collaborative cultureOpportunity to lead and make a meaningful impactCommitment to quality education and careProfessional growth and development opportunitiesWe are an equal opportunity employer.
