In this role, you will lead tax engagements and practice growth for privately held companies, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals. You'll provide both compliance and consulting services across a range of industries while mentoring staff and deepening client relationships.Since 1946, Purvis Gray has been committed to excellence, integrity, and local relationships. All six of our Florida offices were founded organically—not by acquisition—preserving a cohesive, collaborative culture across the firm.ResponsibilitiesLead complex tax engagements from planning to delivery, including partner-level review and signoffDeliver consulting and compliance services to privately held businesses and high-net-worth individualsSupervise, mentor, and develop staff in a team-oriented environmentPerform technical tax research and develop strategic recommendationsIdentify and implement tax planning opportunities for clientsManage and grow client relationships, deliver exceptional service, and expand servicesOversee engagement economics including budgeting, billing, and collectionsDrive business development and new client acquisitionReview tax forms for individuals (Form 1040 and 1041), Exempt Orgs (Form 990), partnerships (Form 1065), and corporations (Form 1120 and 1120-S)QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's in Tax or JD/LLM is a plus)Active CPA licenseMinimum 12+ years of relevant tax experience in public accountingProven business development success and ability to grow a book of businessAdvanced knowledge of flow-through/pass-through taxationStrong leadership, project management, communication, and client service skillsWhy Purvis GrayA true team environmentDirect access to decision-makers and meaningful client interactionCPE and leadership development supportCompetitive benefits and a clear path for advancementCompensation Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and book of business.
