Server/Food Runner

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented Server to join our sushi restaurant team. The ideal candidate provides excellent customer service, understands fast-paced restaurant operations, and helps create a welcoming dining experience for every guest. Responsibilities Greet guests promptly and professionally Present menus and explain sushi items, specials, and beverages Take accurate food and drink orders Deliver food and beverages efficiently Check on guests regularly and respond to requests quickly Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas Process payments accurately through POS system Work closely with sushi chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service Follow food safety and sanitation standards Assist with opening and closing side work duties Qualifications Previous restaurant serving experience preferred Sushi or Japanese restaurant experience is a plus Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays Food Handler Card required (or willingness to obtain) Preferred Skills Basic knowledge of sushi and Japanese cuisine Upselling and recommendation skills POS system experience Compensation & Benefits Hourly wage + tips Flexible scheduling Employee meal provided Growth opportunities within the restaurant Availability Full-time / Part-time available Evening and weekend availability preferred Job Type: Part-time Pay: $16.90 per hour Work Location: In person
