We're seeking a motivated on-site Laboratory Operations & Vivarium Manager to join our team in South San Francisco, CA. You’ll have the opportunity to be hands-on with cutting-edge research while working with a talented, collaborative team. About the Role: This role is responsible for ensuring efficient lab execution, maintaining high standards of data quality, and maintaining compliance with IACUC protocols and institutional standards. You will play a key role in building and scaling lab infrastructure, supporting in vivo workflows, and establishing operational best practices across teams.Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily lab operations, ensuring organization, efficiency, and complianceEnsure all animal work adheres to IACUC-approved protocols; support protocol submission, amendments, and inspectionsServe as liaison with veterinary staff and compliance teamsPerform quality control assessments of experiment procedures and dataDevelop and maintain SOPs, documentation, and QC processesOwn procurement, inventory tracking, and vendor relationshipsManage lab supplies, equipment maintenance, and service coordinationRequired Qualifications:3+ years of experience in laboratory operations or lab managementHands-on experience with in vivo mouse studiesWorking knowledge of IACUC compliance and animal research regulationsStrong organizational and operational skills; ability to manage multiple prioritiesExperience with inventory management, ordering, and vendor coordinationPreferred Qualifications:Experience with mouse handling, dosing, and husbandryProficiency in Python (data organization, automation, or workflow improvement)Compensation:Base salary: $100,000 – $160,000 (Bay Area range, commensurate with experience)Benefits: Competitive health, dental, vision, and 401(k) offeringsTo apply: send your resume and a brief cover letter addressing relevant experience and why you are interested in this position to hiring@oliolabs.co.
