Custom Estimator
reSAWN TIMBER co. provides new and reclaimed wood products for architectural specifications for flooring, interior wall cladding, ceilings, exterior siding, and custom millwork. We specialize in meeting the needs of architects, designers, and contractors, and providing superior service and guidance in developing specifications for wood products.
**reSAWN Timber is looking to add a Custom Estimator for unique line of wood products. Custom Estimators provide pricing, customer service, sales support, project management, and order processing.**
RESPONSIBILITIES
Generate custom pricing to support project needs for sales reps
Create precise 2D drawings to demonstrate standard and custom milling profiles to customers.
Produce conceptual sketches of detail conditions to clarify project needs
Consult with construction team and specifying architect as needed to refine specifications
Run cost analysis reports to assess post-job profit margin and refine custom pricing
Generate purchase orders for custom materials and interact with vendors in support of managing
Manage and track custom orders through the pricing phase as well as production phase
Provide sales support regarding product viability, pricing, lead time, and product availability
Interact with Project Management, Purchasing, Lumber and Production departments
Coordinate with Project Management Department and Samples Department to ensure timely delivery and return of approved samples
Develop relationships with existing vendors
Ensure paper and electronic files are accurate and up to date for all orders
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Experience drawing with SketchUp and/or CAD - reSAWN primarily uses AutoDesk LT/Fusion360
Experience with mark-up/take-off software such as BlueBeam a plus
Familiar with reading Construction Documents
Experience with construction methods and materials related to wood products
Knowledge of wood and/or manufacturing a plus
High aptitude for math
Excellent organization skills
Attention to detail
Strong communication skills (able to effectively communicate in a meeting setting, over the phone and via email)
Familiarity with Excel, Quickbooks, Google Sheets and similar web-based applications
Ability to work in fast-paced work environment
